DAME period box review*

Us homeworkers have a lot of running around to do. I know I do, and with so many errands to complete and so much to remember I’ve found myself often forgetting to buy sanitary products. I don’t know how I manage it. It’s been happening once a month since I was 9 years old and yet I’m somehow the worst at remembering to buy them! What’s more annoying? Periods can strike at any time. In the middle of the night, on a Sunday evening when all of the shops are closed, or while you’re stuck in traffic. Today’s blog post is a review of a solution to this; the dame period box (formerly Sanitary Owl)*.

The solution to this, lies with this fantastic product, designed to make your period as comfortable as possible, perhaps even enjoyable, and it means you’ll never have to remember your period again! It’s called ‘Sanitary Owl’ and is the most creative and cute way to tend to your time of the month, and all costing less than a Netflix subscription (don’t pretend you don’t have one!

Every two months, every single product you need for your next two periods conveniently, as they themselves put it, ‘flies through your letterbox’This means you don’t have to be concerned with making a shopping trip, with finding your desired brand or your preferred absorbency or having to settle for less when products are out of stock. You can customise your box online to suit your own preferences, and you can even have heat pads, chocolate, and ibuprofen added to your box! It’s essentially a box, for your box. (lol)
Everything about this service has been designed with such care, from how perfectly it fits through your letterbox (no need to collect parcels or sign for them) to the sweet packaging the products are gathered within. They stock all major brands and absorbencies and you even get the added bonus of ‘tax-free tampons’ (something us ladies have strived for, for long enough). You even get your own designated owl; mine was Nancy, and I love all the little extra details like the sticker saying ‘sealed with a loving hoot’, and the base of the box reading “Get your Tamp on”
Their website also features a tonne of blog posts and information for teenagers, which is really useful. The majority of sex education services in schools are not helpful, which leaves a lot of young girls stuck on how to take care of their hygiene while remaining comfortable and relaxed. There’s also a version of the box for your first time, designed specifically for helping young females going through puberty. Sanitary Owl (now DAME) offers a such a vast range of different kinds of products in their boxes, from tampons and towels to moon cups and panty-liners. This product gives you the freedom to try out different methods and see what suits you best, aiming the most comfortable time of the month possible!
My Sanitary Owl (Dame) box also came with a small, cute bag to keep all of my products in, which is now kept in my bathroom so all the family can access the products!
What are you waiting for? If you want one less thing to remember every month, and an adorable way to enjoy your period, then pop over to the Sanitary Owl (DAME) website to have a play around and build your own box.

I was compensated by Sanitary Owl (DAME) to write about these the Sanitary Owl Box (DAME box) on the ‘Bethany Ashley’ blog and received them free of charge for the purpose of this review. But as always, all opinions are my own and I do not accept pre-written content. Sanitary Owl recently changed their name to DAME, which is why the images included in this post are of ‘Sanitary Owl’ branding.

It's been going for a while, I can't believe I've only just found it, but I'm glad I did!
